Born and raised on a mixed farm in Saskatchewan, Clifford began a Junior Hockey career at the age of 15 with the Prince Albert Raiders. He then worked in the oilfield on the drilling rigs and in transportation before attending the University of Saskatchewan, where he graduated from the College of Commerce in 1998 with Great Distinction. He articled with Meyers Norris Penney and received CPA Designation in 2001. His main focus of accounting is taxation with a strong emphasis on farm taxes as well as farm programs. He believes strongly in giving farms a complete consultation and analysis which few practitioners do. This is exemplified by his thoroughness of work, analysis and follow through. Given the high risk and costs in agriculture, the typical accounting firm model does not meet the needs of the producer. Clifford spends numerous hours helping people with different tasks and can even be found meeting with clients, doing consulting or even helping fix corals or air seeders while on holidays.
